Fresh & fabulous. That's the best way to define the cocktails, the scene & the fare at Napa's Morimoto.
Merci beaucoup, Monsieur Nicholas, for the introduction to Morimoto and a magical, memorable evening. My Chicago Correspondent, Kelly, and I had an epic evening. From charismatic cocktails such as 'A Night In The Woods' (Woodford Reserve, Douglas Fern, Allspice Syrup & Bitters) to the beautiful bottle of Bollinger, the sipworthy evening was spectacular. And then there was the perfection we found on our plates. It started with the Hamachi Tacos and then went deep and delicious into a number of dishes - oysters, lobster & steak... oh my! It goes on record as being one of my favorite meals to date.
