Stock (aka Matthiola) offers a wonderfully spicy, distinctive scent. Plant it in spring several weeks before your region's last frost date -- this annual thrives in cool temperatures and stops blooming once hot weather arrives. It's especially wonderful in window boxes and planters at nose level, where its sometimes subtle effect can best be appreciated. Stock is slightly spirelike and comes in a wide range of colors. It makes a great cut flower, perfuming bouquets as well as the border. It grows best in full sun or part shade and moist, well-drained soil. (Click here to learn more about stock.)
Hydrangea (/haɪˈdreɪndʒⁱə/;[1] common names hydrangea or hortensia) is a genus of 70–75 species of flowering plants native to southern and eastern Asia (China, Japan, Korea, the Himalayas, and Indonesia) and the Americas. By far the greatest species diversity is in eastern Asia, notably China, Japan, and Korea. Most are shrubs 1 to 3 meters tall, but some are small trees, and others lianas reaching up to 30 m (98 ft) by climbing up trees. They can be either deciduous or evergreen, though the widely cultivated temperate species are all deciduous. (Click here to read more about the hydrangea.)
When sailing with Captain Tom, the rum flows and fun follows.
That said, Resqwater isn't an option. It's a requirement. To rock it out today and still be ready for tomorrow, you need proactive recovery. This comes in the form of an 8 ounce dietary supplement -Resqwater. This little bottle delivers big with N-Acetyl-Cysteine, Electrolytes, B Vitamins, Water, Organic Prickly Pear Extract, Milk Thistle & Organic Cane Sugar. Gotta love two for one. Hangover prevention and muscle recovery served up in a single bottle. A beautiful day in the San Francisco Bay. The rum drinks were epic, the sail was spectacular and I survived the voyage, making it back into the office the following day without a hangover. Thank you for always being our biggest fan, dad.
Know that we are YOUR biggest fan as well. Everyone needs someone cheering them on along the sideline, and along life as well. Thank you for always being there. Cheers to you, Captain. Thanks for showing your love for your crew - the people you work and play with on a daily basis. Sailing in the bay is always a treat with many memories made (most of which are remembered even after copious amounts of rum). Here's to many more sails yet to be had and many more memories yet to be made. Thanks for being awesome always. Cheers, (Much love for my crew. Check out the photos below.) It's never to late at night or in life to learn how to skate board. That said, at 9:37 at night, this 37-yer-old grabbed her $10 skateboard that she found at a thrift shop over the weekend and hit the pavement in her Converse and a favorite cap. On the streets and Central Park of San Mateo , I tried what I hadn't before. Not just skateboarding, but skateboarding at night, is entirely intoxicating. I highly suggested. Next stop, the skate park. Excited to rock it on the ramps after a bit of practice. Cheers, Sorry. No photos were allowed during the concert. I respected that request taking only this photo of the scene & the stage before the performance began. I had the very great pleasure of seeing Andrea Bocelli live and in concert. (Guys, if you ever want to score big points with your girl, seeing Bocelli in concert is the way to go. Merci beaucoup, Logan.) At the SAP Center in San Jose, the stage was graced with the legendary Italian tenor, Andrea Bocelli. He performed classic compositions from his 15th studio album, ‘Cinema’ that comprises renditions of his songs used in film scores and soundtracks such as ‘Gladiator,’ ‘The Godfather,’ ‘Doctor Zhivago’ and ‘Life is Beautiful.’ In addition, he performed a collection of famous operatic pieces. As if Bocelli's epic voice wasn't enough, the evening was further enhanced by the flawless orchestra, a pair of classically trained dancers and a stunning violin soloist. And while I didn't want the night to end, it ended in a way I will never forget. It was Bocelli's encore that left me breathless. "Life isn't about the number of breaths we take, but about the number of moments that take our breath away." This was one of those moments. In his encore, he performed three of my favorite pieces: Now We Are Free, Time To Say Goodbye & my absolute favorite - Nessun Dorma. It was before performing Time To Say Goodbye that he addressed the audience for the first time with the announcement that he had sad news to share. He went on to say that he just received word that a friend of his and a great man of our time Muhammad Ali had just passed. He dedicated his performance of Time To Say Goodbye to Ali. It was a moment I'll remember all my life, when I saw and heard one legend of our time, Bocelli, bid adieu to another legend of our time, Ali. While nothing gold can stay, according to the poet Robert Frost, those with golden notes and golden gloves can live on in gilded memories like these. Cheers to golden moments preserved in gilded memories. For those of you not familiar with Nessun Dorma, here it is... [ iTunes Festival 2012: London, Roundhouse, 18/09/ 2012 - Director: Carlo Bernini ] Andrea Bocelli is ranked among the bestselling international music artists of all-time. Having achieved countless feats and established records worldwide, Bocelli is also a Grammy award winning singer. From the very top of the living roof to the bottom of the deep sea aquarium and the rain forest sphere in between, the California Academy of Sciences has a spectrum of spectacular science to behold. And during Thursday NIGHTLIFE, the experience is amplified with cocktail stations and a DJ spinning. It's a definite MUST do, see and sip when in San Francisco. Cheers, "It's the jelly fish there are my favorite. Every time I visit the Academy of Sciences, it's the jellies that catch and hold my attention. I could watch them pulse & play all day." |
