KEITH SAARLOOS
Keith confessed his bleeding love for making wine. "This is awesome. We get to do this. This is just nothing but hustle, hard work, effort, time and then at the end of it you're just bleeding so much into it. It's easy to make wine. You just go out there and bleed. And that's what this is. It's fun."
After getting sentimental for a moment with our discussion, we decided to switch gears and grab guns. I was handed an AK47. For my first time shooting clay pigeons, I think I did pretty well.

WES HAGEN
Winemaker, Wes Hagen at Clos Pepe, gave me the rundown in the vineyard on hermaphroditic vines. What once were 'boy' vines & 'girl' vines have evolved into 'boy-girl' vines. In that way, as Wes put it, "They don't have to get dressed up. They don't have to go clubbing. They can stay at home... and pollinate themselves very efficiently."
After spending time between the vines, we sipped and spoke coming to the conclusion that we need to stop over thinking wine. Just drink it.
